This residential project is located on lot 7 of the Fraccionamiento Residencial Campestre Rancho Tabor development.
For this project, all of the guidelines and restrictions provided by the development were considered and incorporated into the design. This minimized the environmental impact on the landscape and allowed the native trees of above two meters high to remain intact as part of the design.
One of the intentions of the design was to ensure that all main areas of the house had views of the mountain, which is a part of the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range, while maintaining proper sun protection for every area.
Due to their northern orientation, all of the bedrooms have low sunlight exposure and have excellent cross ventilation, as they take advantage of the prevailing winds.
The adobe, the vara trabada, exposed concrete and palm roofs were among the chosen materials for the project, some of these materials are part of the state’s vernacular architecture; the usage of such materials helps to achieve an ideal thermal comfort for the house.
